Sometimes the need for therapy is clear such as experiencing a traumatic event, life change or loss. Other times it is more subtle, maybe you’re noticing patterns that hold you back, dealing with low self-esteem, or feeling stuck in certain areas of your life. If you notice you are struggling to cope, experience difficulty regulating thoughts and feelings, your physical health has been negatively impacted by the issue, a healthy support system is lacking, or the challenge is causing difficulty in your family, school, or work, then working with an experienced licensed therapist can provide a non-judgmental space to address these challenges and make meaningful progress.

During the first session, your therapist will come out to the lobby and walk you back to one of our suites. The visit will focus on gathering information and a comprehensive diagnostic assessment to review symptoms. This allows our therapists to make individually tailored treatment recommendations and collaborate with you on goals, length of care, frequency of appointments, and outcomes for treatment.

Yes. In addition to in-person appointments, we offer secure and confidential online therapy as an option to make mental health care more convenient and accessible. Online therapy provides the same compassionate support and therapeutic process as in-person therapy. Phone appointments are also available. You may choose any appointment type that meets your needs. Our licensed counselors and therapists are here to support you in a flexible, secure format that best fits your life and schedule.

The ideal frequency for therapy sessions varies from person to person and depends on your specific needs and goals. After your initial visit your provider will be able to discuss specific treatment recommendations for frequency and length of care. Many clients begin with weekly sessions to build a strong therapeutic relationship and make consistent progress. Over time, depending on your journey and treatment plan, you may transition to bi-weekly and monthly sessions.

We charge $160 per session and $140 per session for therapists completing their post-graduate clinical internship. We can provide you with a statement upon request to present to your insurance company for reimbursement. This statement includes all of the information such as diagnoses and procedure codes that insurance companies need in order to process a claim.

Better Minds Therapy is a private pay practice. This is because working with insurance generally limits our ability to provide customized care. Even though we are out of network for insurance, as an out-of-network provider, we can provide a superbill upon request for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement depending on your benefits.

A regular session is 45-50 minutes long. Half sessions and double sessions are also available for booking.

Better Minds Therapy requires a minimum 24-hour notice to reschedule or cancel appointments. Sessions canceled with less than 24-hour notice are subject to the full session rate for the missed appointment. As a courtesy, automated appointment reminders are sent prior to all scheduled appointments. You have access to make changes to your appointment through the Client Portal on our webpage. You may also call our office at 702-410-2649 or send us an email at frontdesk@BetterMindsTherapy.com in the event you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment.
